The motherboard temps are usually around 40c though.

Freezing still occurs, though it seemed to take longer before it happened and there wasn't any artifacting. As for the motherboard temp, I'm not sure why it seems so high. It seems it's only the southbridge sensor reading at 70C, the mainboard temp is around 40. My bios says the temps are accurate, and maxing my fanspeed slightly lowers the temp to around 66. Not sure what is going on there.

Check again the temps right at the time of the next freeze.

Make a note of what is starting and what isnt, so you can change back.... Or create a restore point prior to doing this....

Then game under a clean boot. See if anything changes. Getting into hardware isn't really my area....

@PeterOz

Doing a full clean boot gets turns off too many services, like audio and internet. I'll go through and enable the bare necessities and see if anything changes in a bit.

Disabling those services made the game run longer without a freeze. Makes it feel memory related to me, I've run vram tests before with no issue but I'll run them again.

Hi esoterical
Did you uninstall bitdefender? - If not please do so.
For testing can you uninstall Java - can be reinstalled later
Also can you change your power setting from high performance to normal
And keep MSI after burner off

Yea I can lower to 60hz. I should have more than enough left on my c drive. I moved a bunch of games over to another drive to make space for a new partition with a clean windows 10 and maybe work off of that.

Yea it was after. I'm running testing right now with no issues at 60hz. I'll move onto a more demanding game and test that in a bit.
