Hello,

I made a post about this same issue a while ago and closed it thinking that I fixed it, well... I didn't.

I've been dealing with this audio problem for months that I still haven't been able to solve or identify the root cause of.

The audio issue involves the audio device disconnecting for a few seconds and then reconnecting.

This happens randomly and doesn't follow a pattern. I've never experienced this error outside of a videogame, not while listening to music, watching videos, etc.

I've tried various output devices, connected them to both the front and rear panels, to the monitor... The problem continues to occur. I've even reformatted my computer, but it still persists. Of course, I have also tried performing a clean installation of drivers recommended by the manufacturer of my motherboard.

Specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz

Geforce RTX 2060

16 GB RAM

Force Series™ MP510 480GB M.2 SSD

Windows 10
 
Hello again, just so you know, yesterday I clean-installed Windows 10, and I'm still experiencing the same issue. I just used the SFC command, rebooted, and the problem is still there. It's strange because games don't show any performance issues; it's just the audio that cuts out. Thanks
 
When you say clean installed Windows:
Did you download the Windows ISO and make a bootable USB and installed it that way?

Did you install it from the recovery drive or the manufacturers version of the Windows ISO?
 
I used installation media tool from Windows to create a bootable USB, then I deleted all partitions and installed Windows from 0.
 
Did you test your issue before installing anything else? If so, for me, that rules out software.

Have you installed anything since the clean install?

Download Speccy here

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

  1. In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
  2. In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
  3. Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot dialog box. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
Also include your full PSU specs, make,model,rating.
 
I uninstalled it and the problem still happens.

Hi, this didn't work, so I cleared my CMOS and secure-erased the SSD through the ASUS BIOS and atleast for now, it seems to be fixed.
