Hello! New here. Perhaps you can help me with this complicated issue. I have no audio suddenly.

PC did its usual restart after installing updates. This time I log on & the home screen says, "No Audio Output Device is installed."

This is strange since it was working fine the other day. I actually rarely use my PC. I bought it refurbished a couple of years ago from NewEgg.com I think?

Here is my next issue. I cannot resolve this problem because I don't have Recovery Manager!! What's up with that? I've never needed it before so this is my first time realizing that perhaps it wasn't installed on my PC? Apparently you have to buy recovery discs too if this happens.

I also cannot find the Hardware Driver Reinstallation either.

Factors for this situation are:
1.) I have antivirus/malware/driver auto-update programs.
2.) Power was shut off incorrectly & abruptly several days ago. Maybe my driver is fried??

Looking forward to your help! Thank you.

I just so happened to have solved this. Simply downloaded the audio driver from my manufacturer's website.
