So I got my BF his first gaming PC and it kept crashing and he didn’t tell me til recently, I know the bare minimum of PCs so I was able to help him and found out his CPU fan doesn’t work, and it’s far past due on the replacement policy on the PC. I don’t know how to find the right CPU fan for him. Here’s what I know about the current one. LGA1200 4 pins. 95mm with 60mm depth (measurements may be off since I had my BF take them and I had to explain on the phone how to read mm on a measuring tape)
Please help me find a new CPU fan for his birthday.
 
it wouldn't be as simply as the fan is not connected to the motherboard would it?

any computer store (bricks and mortar, or online) that sells fans will have one, just ask for the LGA1200 socket type.

but one of you is going to need to know how to use a screwdriver!
you haven't promoted the BF as a potential candidate for the job. :D
 
I checked the fan to make sure it was connected and even tested the fan with a battery and battery connector to see if maybe the socket was just bad. Thank you for the help! And although he can’t read a measuring tape, I’m thankful he knows how to use a screwdriver because my hands are too shaky for that haha.
