  • Hello everyone We want to personally apologize to everyone for the downtime that we've experienced. We are working to get everything back up as quickly as possible. Due to the issues we've had, your password will need to be reset. Please click the button that says "Forgot Your Password" and change it. We are working to have things back to normal. Emails are fixed and should now send properly. Thank you all for your patience. Thanks, PCHF Management

I noticed that my audio manager doesn't open on start. I need that to be open at all times. Can you please help?

Right click on HijackThis and run as admin.
Go to Main Menu.
List of BackUps.

Find the item below.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RTHDVCPL] C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtkNGUI64.exe -s

Select Restore.
Reboot your machine, then the item will be back at windows startup.

I tired restoring it and it said something about not being able to restore it. Now all the backups are gone.

Download Everything Search Engine, paste C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtkNGUI64.exe into the search window.

Drag the C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtkNGUI64.exe into the C:\Users\Noah\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder.

Then reboot your machine. If this fails to work, then simply reinstall your Audio drivers from the motherboard site.

The programs are still there, HijackThis only deletes the Registry entry that starts the program, you can right click on any of them to start them. Nothing is lost, just the auto loading entry with the registry.

So for example, if you disabled your antivirus with HiackThis, to start it you would only need to double click on it.

I know you are thinking I had you delete these files.... Not the case, just as I said the startup for the item.

Using the everything search engine you will find the item listed, then you can have it start using the instructions provided.

Yes, you could. But you might like the Everything Search Engine. A very useful tool. For example you could type .mp3 and it will list ALL audio files on your machine....

Or .jpg or .mp4

Good tool....

I'll give it a try then. Everything seems to be working again. Thanks.

Sweet, glad to have helped out, you can also easily keep track of your startups and scheduled task with CCleaner. Have a good day. :)
