Hey there, I'm new to this site but I need some serious help/advice.
(sorry if I'm in the incorrect Tag or whatever, I just need some help)
I'm currently experiencing major problems related to my PCs USB ports and I cant figure out the cause
It's a pretty wacky desktop PC owned by my dad which he built which includes:
- AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor 3.60 GHz
- 16GB of RAM- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER- ASRock B450M Pro4-F
- Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19045 Build 19045
- Latest NVDIA Drivers
- the keyboard/mouse I'm using are a razer blackwidow V1 and a Glorious model I
(I can provide more specs if needed)
So the problem is related to the USB ports, my mouse and keyboard randomly "break" while doing literally anything, this can range from my mouse straight up dying completely until I plug it in again or the DPI of my mouse going nuts, reaching an insane amount that basically makes the mouse unusable, also requiring me to re-insert it into the USB socket. Similar things happen to my keyboard, keys staying pressed in, the keyboard disconnecting randomly, it usually gets fixed by pluging the device in again.
I've tried most things; switching ports, switching from indirect to direct connection to the motherboard (trough monitor USB inputs), windows optimization, updated drivers and a bunch of other things. None of these things provided a permanent solution. Also the problems don't occur when I use the devices on a different PC.
Since I need this PC on a daily basis and use it for work, school and gaming this makes it a very big and annoying problem which makes using the PC unbearable and doubles the time needed for most simple tasks, also ruining my performance in any competitive environment.
So what I really need help with is deciding what to do next, I don't have the money for a new PC in the coming 6 months, I could ask my dad for one but he most likely wont help out. If anyone has any things I could try to fix it that don't require me losing all the data on the PC that would be very much appreciated.
