well yeah I expect high temps during gaming, that parts normal. Its the 80+ temps while doing nothing that was weird. Though as I said the fan is still loud despite the lower temps and now theres a sound that sound like constant disc reading despite there being no disc in the cd drive and while I know HDDs constantly read, it shouldnt sound that noticeable or obvious, any way I can maybe record the sound so you can hear it?

You can record the sound if you like + check the HDD with CrystalDisk, see below;

Check the HDD with CrystalDiskInfo 7.0.0 Standard Edition which you can download from here once done grab a screenshot (possibly two) of the results and attach to your next reply for us.

To capture and post a screenshot;

Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload... Click on the Upload a File tab then after typing in any response you have... click on Post Reply like you normally would.

Screenshot instructions are provided to assist those that may read this topic but are not yet aware of the “how to”.

dunno what any of this means but something tells me those low numbers are bad

Apologies Antoine, the original link appears to have been changed from CrystalDisk Info to CrystalDisk Mark, new link here, can you run CD Info and upload the screenshot for us please.

That does look ok but can we have the top half, the results are scrolled all the way to the bottom so the top half of the results are hidden, hence why I said that it may take two screenshots :)

Any update for usAntoine? If unreplied to within 48hrs this thread will be closed.
