I have been trying to download and update this driver from the microsoft website for a while now with no apparent luck.

You appear to have most of the above in hand, the exception being the chipset driver, possibly the most important driver of all, you cannot get this driver from Microsoft only Dell, use the Detect PC option here

Thank you, I will try that. Ironically last night I had no issues with crashing at all running through the tests.
 
Sorry, I had actually been attempting to download the driver from Dell. I was able to get it downloaded this time and installed successfully. I will do some testing and see if there are further issues.
 
So far so good. I haven't been able to spend a whole lot of time on it but when I have I was doing all the things that would make it crash. I don't want to call it quite yet as I've been fooled before, but hopefully you don't hear from me anymore on this issue :D Thanks so much for sticking with me on this!
