Solved Inaccessible boot device win 10

Hi there, I took out two old sticks of ram and installed four new and when starting up the pc I got an inaccessible boot device. It happens almost instantly, just after screen asking if I want to go to bios.

I tried revert back to the two old sticks but now still getting the same.

I have a msi motherboard and the new sticks are corsair vengeance pro. Old are hyperx fury. Same ddr4. New ones were 3200 and old 2400mhz.

Any advice?

get into BIOS and check the boot order.
also check you didn't disturb the cables going to the hard drive.

Can you give us the model number

Using msi z270 gaming plus.

Have made sure cables are fine and boot order is good. Unplugged and replugged both to make sure it disconnects and reconnects.

Make sure you touch something metal to discharge static electricity

I have an i7 7700k! Will try reset bios in a few mins.

Reset the bios but still getting the bsod

your cpu only takes max 2400

Try removing the cmos battery for min 10minutes press the on button a couple of times to discharge caps
did you disconnect the power cord.
what do the onboard leds show

Disconnected the power cord.
Took out cmos battery and discharged no luck still getting inaccessible boot device.

From what I can see all leds look fine flashing white

As @PeterOz has stated in Post # 9 your CPU cannot handle the new ram.

Put the previous set into the system and see if it will boot.

Unfortunately I've been trying all this with the old ram.

SSD with windows and a hdd

Disconnect both the power and data cable for the HDD and see if that makes a difference.

Make sure the RAM is in the proper slots.

Does the system work if you use just one of the RAM sticks

I've tried disconnected both one at a time and no cigar.

Rams in proper slots, I've gone down just to one stick and still the same error.

You have checked the BIOS that drive is the primary drive?

Have you tried swapping the HDD and SSD cable and ports?
