Hi everybody,

first of all I have a MSI GE73vr 7RE laptop ( sh**box ) specs are : i7 -7700HQ, gtx 1060 and 16gb ( originally 8 ) ddr4 ram.

So , long story short this laptop have been a good source of trouble since i buyed it 3 years ago, first i had to completely REMOVE the speakers they were making a constant buzzing noise. Then one of the hinges maintaining the screen decided to quit and just literally ripped itself off the screen cover.

Appart from this, it have been pretty good in terms of performance, no big issues on hardware or software.

Here we go : 3 days ago I was playing on the computer and the second hinge decided it was its time too and my screen just dropped down from the hinge to my desk ( an horrible 2cm fall ) , and this was enough to shut the screen off wich i wasnt expecting at all, it made me jump and i litteraly ( i wish i took a picture) dropped 2 drops of coffee on the upper right of the keyboard, where the on/off switch is.

The screen is partially broken ( half of it have a white glaze ) and the keyboard also have half of it not working ( but not half/half , like random keys )

I plugged my pc to an old first gen flatscreen with a hdmi adapter. After adjusting the resolution to something ok i test some games, League of legends is pretty disturbing but i have around 120 fps at max specs, later I tried Valorant, no fps issues, game was rly smooth.
And then yesterday suddenly i have 20 fps max on League of lengend and doing 5-->20-->5-->20 non stop. and Valorant is telling me " low client fps " and yeah i can see that ...

Last thing , i did a benchmark with novabench around a week ago , i had a score of 1975, i tried this morning and i had 787, and all cpu, ram, gpu and disk score have dropped.

In my mind the coffe related problem wouldn't have poped 3 days after, but well, my knowledge on this is pretty limited, HELP ME .

( I had no downloads or any update in this period of time. )

Thanks if you read all ;)

Sadly it won't be needed anymore,
the laptop is deceased, you can add it to the obituary and close the thread .
3 years for a 1500 € computer, i'm not the only cause of its death, even if i surely sped things up a bit, for now i'll keep the coffee in the kitchen i guess .
Quarantine gained a level it seems...
