Apologies, should have asked you to post the version of BIOS for us, can you do this for us if you will.
 
Sorry for the delay, my BIOS version is 3803. It was up to date when i bought it and while i was tinkering with it, but now i see a new one came out this month. Should i update? How do i do it?

Your present BIOS version number is what caught my attention, ASUS do not list a version 3803 for any CPU on your model of MB, you can confirm this for yourself at the download link that I have included, for your CPU you should have version 0405 which you can download from here
