Hello HyperFirez,

Can I ask what is telling you that the CPU temp is hitting 100C, if not the BIOS, check there to see what the temps are reading.

Arctic recommend the vertical line application for 6th gen i7 CPUs, see info here
I have a counter on my motherboard that tells me what the temp is in Celsius. I also have other programs that tell me as well.

Would that be the MSI Hardware Monitor software.

What thermal compound are you using.

Arctic Silver 5. I also reapplied it using the vertical line method and it is still at 100*C. It stays at 30-40*C before I log into my PC but after login it will jump to 100*C.

Would that be the MSI Hardware Monitor software.
Can you answer the above for us.

Please take expanded screenshots and only use the method below to attach them.
Download Speedfan from here and install it. Once it's installed, run the program and post here the information it shows. The information I want you to post is the stuff that is circled in the example picture I have attached.

If you are running on a vista machine, please go to where you installed the program and run the program as administrator.

(this is a screenshot from a vista machine)

Download then run HWMonitor and post a screenshot so that we have a comparison to the Speedfan results, details from here

To capture and post a screenshot;

Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload... Click on the Upload a File tab then after typing in any response you have... click on Post Reply like you normally would.

Screenshot instructions are provided to assist those that may read this topic but are not yet aware of the “how to”.

Guys, I concluded it to be the h115i not pumping. I installed a stock fan (my cousin had a spare one) and it is staying at around 40*C.

Good work on your behalf and thanks for posting the solution HyperFirez (y)

While not ideal you have at least identified the cause of the problem and can get on with an RMA for the h115i.

That would explain the issue... sucks that it happened with a new product, but hey that is what RMA is for :D.
