So I have a intel B75 V124A motherboard and i5-2500 3.30 ghz cpu and I got a gigabyte geforce rtx 3060 gaming OC 12G REV2.0 card and when I hook the card to my pc it powered on its got the fans spinning and rgb going but when I hook it up to the moniter it just says no signal and the bios version is American mega trends inc 4.6.5 3/15/2021 and it's on legacy bios mode the OS system is windows 10 home and I'm hoping that it can be used for this system until I save up to buy all the parts for a custom pc

g'day and welcome to the forums. :)

what is your power supply make/model?
I assume the rig works fine without the RTX3060 connected, and just using the embedded graphics?

your motherboard is old (as you know!) and only has PCIe x4 Gen2, whereas the RTX3060 can handle x16 Gen4 - so while it should be backward compatible, it would run nowhere near it's full potential.
the RTX3060 also expects at least a 550w power supply.
does your power supply have the 8pin power cable that plugs into the RTX3060?

Yes it has an 8 pin connector and it's a 550 watt supply it's called the b-vigor550w and I also checked to see if it shows up on device manager and it does not just shows the integrated graphics

EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GT

Less expensive than any 550W I could find + gives you room for further upgrades.

Strongly suggest that you get the GPU tested before making any purchase, using such a bad PSU may have done some damage.

Unfortunately I will have to take it to a computer shop to be tested but will the Corsair RM850x SHIFT Fully Modular ATX Power Supply - 80 PLUS Gold - ATX 3.0 - PCIe 5.0 PSU work well for this old pile of dust

Not heard back from you, do you still require assistance or is the issue now resolved, an update would be appreciated.
