Here's what Ive got : I5 10400 2.9ghz.
Radeon 5700 (not xt)
32 gb ram
b450m ds3h ac MoBo (put this because its PCEI 3.0)
Monitors: 1. 2560, 75ghz
2. 1920, 75ghz
Unsure of PSU

Ok so I am new to all this so please bare with me. Before I got the 5700 I was using a Zotac 1650. Nothing great just 4gb vram and one fan and I only had 24 gb ram. I purchased the 5700 used. Works great with every game so far including Hogwarts legacy on high, cod on pretty much ultra and they all get avg 70 FPS. However No Mans Sky I get around 30. I know its an AMD/Intel mix but as I said all of my games but NMS are get higher FPS. With the 1650 I was getting AVG of 40-ish across all games. I'm not sure if I have settings wrong or something isn't meshing correctly or if it may just be NMS? They did do an update with new VR features. I don't run VR but I am sure that it still updates graphics in game regardless so I don't know. All I know is that there are settings for AMD Adrenaline I do not understand and NMS settings do not seem to help fix the frame rate. My only assumption is Ive done something wrong. OTHER than AMD/Intel mix if that's faux pa of any kind.

Did you run DDU and install the new display drivers before connecting the computer to the internet?

Well my computer stays hardwired so it was connected when I installed device. Actually computer was off when I installed but as soon as I turned it on it was connected to the internet. Uninstalled Nvidia stuff from 1650 and installed Adrenaline and updated it and windows then restarted.

Run DDU and download a fresh installer executable from here.

An important note: You MUST download the driver executable and disconnect your computer from the internet before running DDU, otherwise Windows will automatically download drivers (which you don't want).
Once you have ran DDU in safe mode, boot up into a normal Windows session (ensuring that you aren't connected to the internet for even a moment) and run the installer.

Restart your computer from the power menu and see if this helps.

ok So disco inet, boot into safe mode, install DDU and run it, then reboot into normal session and install Adrenaline?

Ok so I have DDU open. Selected gpu and it gives me nvidia and amd and in two options. Do I do both amd and nvidia?

If you're unsure, I'd run through both.

The NVIDIA ones need to go for sure, and I'd double over the AMD ones just to make sure you have the latest ones installed.

Thank you. Went ahead and did both and reinstalled. It helped. Did have to lower some settings NMS still gets lower frame rates but ia much more playable atm. Also went through and capped FPS in 75 for all games and noticed leas tearing and stuttering. I feel like I can get much better frame rates off the 5700 but need to upgrade monitors and cpu and stuff as well. Again kinda new to call the gaming end of pc's but im getting there.

Try unplugging one of your monitors, they're of differing resolutions.

If you could figure out your PSU that would provide some useful insight.

Let's get some more information:

Download and run the free version of speccy.

Once you have ran speccy, follow the instructions to upload a snapshot found here.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:
  1. In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
  2. In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
  3. Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot dialog box. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

You have a few things I've noticed:

Set your power plan to balanced, instructions below.

You have two different types of RAM, the first two sticks are Team Group, and the second two are Corsair. These sticks have different specs in terms of CAS Latency and Speed, and none of them are good enough for your CPU (Which requires DDR4-2666MHz ram). I would pull the corsair sticks and try with only the Team Group installed in the proper slots (Usually 2 and 4, check your manual).

This is my laundry list, it's a good starting point for troubleshooting and should get you an idea what's going on:

1. Try running the following programs, also try to keep at least 25-30% of your disks as free space.

Run Disk Cleanup (check all the boxes) this will delete things such as your recycling bin, so make sure you don't have any files you want to keep.

Run Defragment and Optimize Drives, run this on your drives.

2. Disable any overclocking or changes to power/performance settings

Undo any overclocking you may have done (if any)

Settings > System > Power and sleep > Additional power settings
Make sure your power plan is set to balanced, high performance/ultimate performance is only beneficial on gaming laptops where it needs that extra boost.

3. Check for Operating System Corruption

Right click on the Windows logo in the bottom left and select Windows Powershell (Admin)
Run these three commands separately:

sfc /scannow

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

These will take a while to run, do not close out of Powershell while they are running, if one fails then move onto the next and then loop back around.

Note: It doesn't hurt to make a system backup before you make all these changes, save any important files of folders. While these changes shouldn't cause any issues, better to be safe than sorry.

4. Unplug unnecessary devices.

If you have a gamepad, extra monitor, external hard drive/flash drive, or anything that is not essential to using the computer plugged in, unplug it.

Once you have completed all of these tasks, restart it (using the restart option in the power menu) and re-test.

Ok so I did what ya said. Even went as far as pulling both separately to see which pair got better results. I can say that having both pair in at the same time I still get way better results. Having said that I am going to order a set to replace them all. That way I have the correct ram for the cpu and I can keep 32. Just gonna get two 16's. I did get rid of second monitor. I only had it for work anyway but now I have a separate work computer. I dont do any overclocking and Have no external drives. Do have two drives though. I run games from SSD and store Captures on hdd. Everything in powershell was good. Defrag and cleanup good. I would say Im avg 70 fps now on all games. I did adjust in game settings and have found DOF and AA giving me majority of my issue.

Let's get some more opinions, I'm running out of ideas.

@PeterOz @Bastet @Rustys

If you could look for your PSU model as requested in post #9 this would be good information to have.
If you could figure out your PSU that would provide some useful insight.

Will wait on the PSU information.

one final note is the C drive is getting full

Partition 1
Partition ID: Disk #1, Partition #1
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 28741670
Size: 465 GB
Used Space: 331 GB (71%)
Free Space: 133 GB (29%)

Windows requires on average 30% to 35% free space including 32 GB free space for updates 7-10 GB reserved for future proofing on the C drive.
No including and limited to what the system uses for backups, swap, page and hibernate files.

Is Windows running the latest build?
Did the pc come with Intel graphics or the AMD? Usually Intel products come with Intel graphics.
Are the games running with nVidia graphics or the AMD? Check this under the nVidia control panel & if they’re using AMD or let Windows choose then manually select nVidia.
