Okay Update: I got the Coolermaster 212, the temps dropped around 20 C both idle and gaming, but the fps increase is only around 10-15. Do you guys think overclocking is a good or bad idea, keeping in mind that I've never done it before?
 
If you care about FPS performance that much then I would say go for it and overclock in small increments at a time. If you are satisfied with your performance then there is no need to overclock your CPU. It depends on your needs and how picky you are when it comes to performance in the games that you play.
 
From the root of the problem, I'm pretty sure my pc was being thermal throttled because it was getting way to hot with the stock cooler, so when i got the coolermaster it is much better. I also overclocked to 4.4 Ghz, and i'm pretty sure it's stable because i let prime95 run for about 8 hours without problems, but on the task manager it says im only running at 4.26Ghz, but on CPUz it says im running at 4.399Ghz, which one is correct?
