Fps drops from 80 to 2-3 fps when shooting in Escape from tarkov

I have issues playing the game escape from tarkov. I have played this game for a very long time and it ran fine on my pc until i did a factory reset (beceas the bleutooth stopt working).
Here’s what we know so far:
FPS drops when shooting in Escape from Tarkov.
GPU usage drops from 100% to 10% when shooting.
CPU usage drops from 30% to 5% when shooting.
Memory usage is stable (7GB, no issues there).
Network is stable (i am using Ethernet, no issues reported).
Factory reset of the PC has already been done multiple times.
DDU was used to reinstall GPU drivers, and after new drivers where installed.
Closed background apps that could take resources.
Audio has been disabled in-game, but the issue persists.
Game hase being running fine for 3 years until factory reset.

1 year ago i upgraded my gpu to the Asrock Radeon RX 6600
 
Let’s do a full workup of your system.
No personal data is published and everything shown is safe.

1) Download Speccy by Piriform.
In Speccy, click File > Publish Snapshot > Copy to Clipboard > Close.
Paste that link into your post. Is Speccy safe?

2) Download GetSystemInfo by Kaspersky.
In GSI, click Start. (takes about 10mins)
It makes a ZIP file on your desktop, drag that to their GSI Parser site.
Once analysed, paste the newly created URL into your post.

3) Download MiniToolBox by Farbar.
In MTB, tick List Installed Programs, click Go then close the program.
A file MTB.txt is created in the same folder, attach that to your post.

4) No software interrogates the Power Supply Unit so list the make/model and age.

5) Go to www.speedtest.net and screenshot your network speeds.

  • the Samsung 850 SSD shows SMART errors in Temperature exceeded and CRC error counts. Could be something, could be nothing - SMART values are like that
  • remove BitDefender, doesn't seem to be your security software, Windows Defender is doing that. Can always re-install later if required
How did you factory reset the PC - keeping personal files and apps, or keeping nothing?
As there seems to be a whole bunch of stuff for a PC that was only reloaded last month.

And to confirm, your issue is only in the one game, and only when shooting?

Here are some details regarding my issue:

  • The problem only occurs when I shoot in Escape from Tarkov. I haven’t experienced any issues in other games, and Tarkov is by far the most demanding game I play on my PC.
  • Should I update my BIOS if it’s from 2020?
  • When I did a factory reset, I chose to keep all personal files. However, I had to reinstall all my games and apps (but not Windows 11).
  • I also forgot to mention that I changed my PC’s power supply. I’m not sure of the exact model, but I can check if needed (though I would have to disassemble my PC).
  • About a year ago, I added a Samsung 850 SSD for extra storage. However, I still play Tarkov from my main storage drive (Windows (C:)).

Is C:\ drive a Solid State Drive (sometimes Speccy gets things wrong)?

I always like to have a pretty recent BIOS has they often release updates/fixes to cater for the latest processors, GPU's, and security patches. Yours is almost 4 years old.

Knowing the PSU is always helpful. You should just need to remove the side cover from the tower and look for the sticker that should be on the PSU. Or the receipt when you purchased it maybe.

Hey, sorry for the delay. I haven’t had time to try fixing the PC issue yet. I’m hoping to update my BIOS tomorrow and check my power supply as well. I already looked at my power supply, but there’s no visible text on it. The only two sides I can’t see are mounted to the case, so unfortunately, I’ll have to remove it to check the model and version.

I’ve also watched some videos on how to update the BIOS, and it looks like I need my motherboard’s model name. Unfortunately, I don’t see anything written on my motherboard, and I also can’t find the name in the "System Information" app on Windows.

I’ll keep you updated!
 
The model number will be written on the motherboard, usually in a white embossed text, and usually in the corner somewhere.

In this case it's in the middle. where it says Gigabyte on the first line then GA something on the second.
 
I found this text: 17553-1R 348.0BU06.00. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the official website of the manufacturer for the BIOS download.
