Hi everyone.
I recently purchases an Xbox One X and wanted to get faster loading times with using an SSD drive with it. To accomplish this and not void my Xbox warranty, I purchased a SSD enclosure that connects vis USB. The amazon link can be seen here:
I purchased a Western Digital Blue 1TB SSD to h in the enclosure. It loads game at a fantastic rate, and I have had no issues with it the first week However, I was curious about the trim/garbage collection subject. I don't want the SSD to loose speed over time if I un-install/delete files and games on it. I have read that the WD drives have their own internal gabage collection/trim control. Is this the case? I can't connected the drive to a standard windows 10 PC because Windows 10 won't recognize the drive unless I format it.
Thanks in advance for any help!
