I got a HP Pavilion 570-p056 for free from a customer. The power supply was bad,
so I replaced it with a new Thermaltake Smart 500W. I changed the video card to
a GTX 660TI that I was using in another computer with no issues. Windows 10 fresh
install. Core I-7 7700.

Every single game locks up or crashes. This was set up for my kids, so they are not
high end games. Both the CPU and GPU show temps staying below 60c. All fans
are working, and the case is clean. Drivers are up to date. 12gb ram never goes above
80%, and the CPU rarely goes over 50%.

I should note that the computer does not lock up, just the games. I put the GPU back
in the previous computer to test, and it ran everything without a problem.

Edit: 500gb SSD about 50% full.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Shouldn't be used anywhere near an add on GPU, so bad that depending on which version you have it is either advised to avoid or replace immediately labelled as 500W when it can only produce 420W + not even Bronze efficiency rated.

The present GPU requires a minimum of a 450W Bronze efficiency rated PSU from a proven brand, least expensive that I could find EVGA BR Power Supply

Suggest that until you have an appropriate PSU you remove the add on video card from the PCI-E slot on the MB and use the Intel HD from the MB instead.
 
Let us know how things go when using just the onboard video.
