Hey,

So I dropped my laptop today and everything seems fine - no rattling or loose parts inside, no cracks on the screen, and everything is working perfectly normal, BUT my screen display keeps flashing a weird texture and it’s making it hard to see the screen. Is there any way I can fix this or do I need to take it to the shop?

Thanks.

Sounds like the display was damaged during the drop, A picture would help but I'd guessing that the display needs to be replaced.

Other damage may not be apparent now, but it's possible there is some, make sure any important pictures or documents are saved (just in case!)

in my experience, replacing the screen panel is doable, and about a third of the cost of a new laptop.
so if old, may not be worth it.
any chance it's under warranty still, or could be claimed under house contents insurance?

if you don't need it to be mobile, relegate it to desk duties and add an external monitor to it.
