Hi everyone,

I was asked to factory reset an Asus laptop and install a win 7 on it, while starting to install the win 7 I got stuck with the "no device drivers were found", searched for some tutorial on YouTube, found this vid:

, followed the command codes step by step on MS-DOS : ( Diskpart >>> list disk >>> select disk 0 >>>> Clean >>>> create partition primary >>>> format fs=ntfs quick) and now I completely lost the disk 0 with all system files, no hard drive showing as a boot option in the BIOS.

Am I screwed ?

Is there a way to create or reactivate the internal HDD ??

Thank you in advance for your help

What is the make and model of the laptop?

Where did the Windows install media come from and how was it created.

Who instructed you to do this and why?

MS-DOS : ( Diskpart >>> list disk >>> select disk 0 >>>> Clean >>>> create partition primary >>>> format fs=ntfs quick) and now I completely lost the disk 0 with all system files, no hard drive showing as a boot option in the BIOS.

Wipes the drive completely hoping that they had you save your data prior to this?

Honestly I NEVER go further than the Clean command with in Diskpart.

Another thing that you can attempt is using a live version of Linux and see if it sees the drive. Yet with BIOS not seeing it that has to be corrected fires which is why we need the make and model of the laptop to provide proper instructions.

If it is a laptop that has a removeable battery remove that and discharge the power.
Plug back in the system does the battery show in BIOS?
Yes: try the install and make sure to follow the instructions for the order if the drivers
No: then remove the HDD and reconnect and see it that has the BIOS recognizing the drive.

Do not worry it is a known problem.

Download the chipset drivers for your laptop.

I'll take you from there step by step - do that every day at work..
