No, it has not been suggested that you reinstall Windows, you already did that on 9/26/2019, what you have not done is to reinstall the required Dell drivers, that is why the two links were provided How to Install Dell Drivers in the Correct Order and to obtain the correct drivers use the detect PC option here

In addition to the above, what I would suggest that you do first;

Get rid of this rubbish; Driver Booster **

Create a new system restore point.

Download and run DDU to get rid of all Nvidea related software that is presently on the computer.

And what I suggest that you do once you have this sorted, leave well alone and do not allow Windows or any other software download and install without your permission, Windows 10 in particular has a nasty habit of updating/installing driver updates that stuff up folks computers.

** You will not see anything like this recommended on any reputable forum, they are at best a gimmick and at worse a danger to the operating systems registry, it is an old article but the author is still highly respected and tbh Ive not seen it explained better than at the miekiemoes' Blog here

You are awesome, at the moment to tell you thw truth everything works perfectly dunno why, but at the moment i get BSOD i shall do the stepa you provided.
Truly the best help I ever received on any forum, much obliged.

No problem and you are welcome :)

You can quite often get away with just installing the chipset drivers and in the case of computers such as yours the drivers for the dedicated GPU, reason for this, Microsoft do not provide chipset drivers for motherboards, there are just too many of them and at the end of the day it is not down to Microsoft to invest time and money in supporting other profit making companies hardware, the reason why you need the Dell driver for the dedicated GPU is because the device has been configured using Dells own BIOS and power requirements etc.

Tip: It is entirely up to yourself whether you follow any guidance offered here but one thing that I do suggest that you do is change the Windows Power Plan to High Performance so that you know that your dedicated GPU is getting enough juice, the good thing about the Windows Power Plan is that you can quickly change it back to Balanced when not gaming or back to High Performance when you want to chase some bad guys :cool:

I edited the power plan as suggested I suppose this is it, in advanced i put the High Power option. Deleted the Driver booster, for the moment until I experience the next BSOD, which I guess will happen I probably not gonna change anything. As you suggested though will it better in your opinion to do all the installation from Dell's website from the beginning as the computer is at this moment or not?

For now I would stick with you having changed the Windows Power Plan, reason for this, if you do not have any further problem after you changed the Power Plan you will know what fixed it, if it does not resolve the problem you know that the Power Plan was not the cause and you need to look elsewhere and namely installing the Dell chipset drivers for the MB and the Dell drivers for the GTX 1050.

Polite reminder: Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help any and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.

So, the bsod happened again, this time as most of the times I guess during the LoL and only if I alt tab from to the game, it's weird. I guess I will habe to follow your guid to the Dell drivers, I know it's kind of annoying of my part, but is it possible you explain in detail the steps I need to follow in order to reset the drivers as you mentioned earlier, sorry for bothering again.

My gut feeling is that it is the game itself, the internet is full of threads regarding LoL problems.

Sorry but short of actually installing the drivers for you there is nothing that we can suggest here that is not better explained at the links that were provided, it does mean that you will have to read the information at the first link I`m afraid How to Install Dell Drivers in the Correct Order and to obtain the correct drivers use the detect PC option here

From the first link;

Note: We recommend you print this list for reference when installing device drivers. To learn more about device drivers, refer to the Dell knowledge-base article Drivers & Downloads FAQ

Hey sorry for not responding, I had some work stuff, anyway I have not done anything since the problem as you said is related with that game which is quite bothersome on the other hand I thought in order to do a proper installation of drivers the best would be to do a clean install with mb deactivated. Wanted to do it that way since i am not quite sure they will be rpoperly installed if i proceed as it say in dell's website, I guess i will need to remove the older ones which possibly may be still in the system and just wanted to make it sure no problems would appear again.

So far everything running smoothly, I have not engages into the BSOD for about a week now after hours of gamin, thiugh i still suspect lol will crash if i alt tab but i believe that has something to do with the game itself.

Thanks for the update (y)

I agree with you and did say back in my reply #26 that I felt that the problem was game specific, we will leave your thread open for another day or so and if we don`t hear back from you by then we will close it, this will save us from having to keep on asking you for an update + it keeps the forums in order.
