Hi

My name is Jerry and I live in Sweden. Recently HP launched newer generations of nordic HP Omen, and my friend is mainly having to choose between two of them. Here are the sepcifications to the pc's.

HP OMEN 25L Desktop (GT11-0017no): https://www.netonnet.se/art/gaming/...p-omen-25l-desktop-gt11-0017no/1012316.12917/
  • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor 4,4 GHz
  • 512 GB SSD & 16 GB RAM 3200 MHz RAM
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2070 SUPER
or

HP OMEN 30L (GT13-0128no): https://www.netonnet.se/art/gaming/...gdator/hp-omen-30l-gt13-0128no/1013496.12917/

  • Intel® Core™ i7-10700F processor 10700F / 2.9 GHz
  • 512 GB SSD & 16 GB RAM 4.8 GHz
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2080 SUPER 2666 MHz
Do you guys think that there is any major differences between these computers? Would it matter if he'd bought the cheaper one? Iv'e heard that they are pretty much alike.

Thanks for answers

Jerry

from your given specs, the Omen 30L has a slightly better GPU, slightly faster CPU and (for me) the preferred Intel chip rather than AMD, but that's purely personal.
so if the 30L is only slightly more expensive, that's the one I would get.

your supplied links didn't work for me, so I couldn't see any prices.

the HP website shows different specs for those models; https://www.omen.com/us/en/desktops/omen-25l-30l/specifications-25L.html

Hello

Thanks for answers. The links that you sent are relevant and the same. I believe you couldn't see the ones that i linked, since there may be restrictions between who can access those.

Regarding the pc's. Then I would give my friend the advice to go for the slightly more expensive computer. What do you guys think regarding the different OC ( Memory speed in Ram)? He asked me about the different OC's ( 3200 mhz VS 2666 mhz ) ?

whoops - sorry, I got my "faster CPU" mixed up, must have been looking at the wrong numbers.
the AMD has the faster GHz but I'm not with whether you can directly marry up a AMD processor to a Intel processor that way.

as to RAM speed - if you can pick up the performance difference between 2666 and 3200 than you'd be a better man than most. those speeds are simply too close to call - but hey, purely on the stated numbers, you'd have to say the 3200 can crunch more numbers more often than the 2666 speed sticks.

but where are you getting 2666 from?
your specs show 2666 as the 30L graphics card memory speed and 3200 has the 25L motherboard memory speed.
