  • Hello everyone We want to personally apologize to everyone for the downtime that we've experienced. We are working to get everything back up as quickly as possible. Due to the issues we've had, your password will need to be reset. Please click the button that says "Forgot Your Password" and change it. We are working to have things back to normal. Emails are fixed and should now send properly. Thank you all for your patience. Thanks, PCHF Management

Stop the download. Reboot the computer,

Adware Cleaner
  • Download AdwCleaner and save it to your Desktop
  • Right-click on AdwCleaner.exeand select, Run as Administrator
  • Accept the EULA (I accept), then click on Scan Now
  • Let the scan complete
  • Once the scan completes, make sure that every item listed in the different tabs is checked and click on the Clean & Repair button
  • Subsequently you may be asked to Run Basic Repair. This is optional. I would suggest holding off on this for now.
  • Once the cleaning process is complete, AdwCleaner will ask you to restart your computer
  • Close all other open windows and allow it to restart
  • After the restart, Notepad will open with the AdwCleaner cleaning log
  • Please Attach the contents of that log into your next reply to me

Please download the FRST 32 bit or FRST 64bit version to suit your operating system. It is important FRST is downloaded to your desktop.
If you are unsure if your operating system is 32 or 64 Bit please go HERE.
Once downloaded right click the FRST desktop icon and select "Run as administrator" from the menu"
If you receive any security warnings, or the User Account Control warning opens at any time whilst using FRST you can safely allow FRST to proceed.
FRST will open with two dialogue boxes, accept the disclaimer.
Then select Scan
Frst will take a few minutes to scan your computer, and when finished will produce two log files on your desktop, FRST.txt, and Addition.txt. They will display immediately on the desktop, but can be reopened later as a notepad file.
Please Attach the contents of these logs in your next post for review by our Security Team

I am so frustrated. I clicked on the adcleaner and a file comes up. when i click on that a black box with a prompt appears but then disappears immediately and im left with a blank screen

32bit says update failed and 64 bit says not compatible. A box popped up and i hit scan and its scanning somthing

It didnt download to my computer but a box appeared saying "tool ready to use". thats when i hit scan and its scanning

Ok, two logs will appear when they are done. Copy and paste them here when done. We can skip adware cleaner for now.

Ok.If it locks up again, just uninstall AVAST that way it will free up some memory, you can reinstall it after we are done here. Plus, there are other tools we can use, we can get that computer running great by the time we are done here. :)

As far as adware cleaner, you can open command prompt and copy and paste the following, this will place adware cleaner on your desktop where it was designed to run from.

move %userprofile%\Downloads\adwcleaner.exe "%userprofile%\desktop

To open command prompt hit the windows key

and R at the same time and type cmd into the run prompt.

Then hit OK.

Thanks. It says scan complete then it says FRST.txt is saved in the same directory FRST is located.
I found a page with alot of data. At the end it said something about any items found can not be fixed.

Is the command prompt thing a black box with something like users:john with a flashing prompt?

Let's move the text files and the program to the desktop. Copy and paste each of these commands into command prompt and hit enter after each.

move %userprofile%\Downloads\FRST.txt "%userprofile%\desktop

move %userprofile%\Downloads\Addition.txt "%userprofile%\desktop

move %userprofile%\Downloads\FRST64.exe "%userprofile%\desktop

move %userprofile%\Downloads\FRST.exe "%userprofile%\desktop

Now Adware cleaner will be on your desktop. Right click and run as admin, then hit the scan button. Once it is complete clean all detected items.
It is on the comp but nothing happens. I right click and hit run as admin then a box comes to allow it and i click allow then what looks like a command prompt box pops up but goes away in a second and nothing happens. I did have an old malware thing on my comp i forgot about. it scanned 312,000 files with no objects found. However, its very old and it wouldnt update to the latest version.

Ok. just move the addition.txt and FRST.txt files to your desktop and post them here. You can attach the files or copy and paste. To attach them, click the attach files button when you reply.

Here it is copied

move %userprofile%\Downloads\FRST.exe "%userprofile%\desktop

You need to paste those commands into command prompt as you did before. that will move the files to your desktop.
