When i try to connect to a wireless network it asks me for a paswword i write it click ok then it processes for about 2 minutes and asks for the password again even if i put the wrong password it does this

  • Open your device manager.
  • Hit the start button then copy and paste devmgmt.msc into the start search box hit enter.
  • Left click the + next to network adapters, right click and un-install your wireless driver.
  • Then your ethernet driver, make sure and do not tick the box that says delete driver.
  • Reboot your machine after you have completed this step!!
  • Windows will auto reinstall the drivers upon rebooting; this essentially refreshes the drivers.
  • Sometimes this will clear issues like yours.

The most common reason for it to keep asking for a password is, despite your best knowledge, the password you are entering is not the password it is expecting.
Double check things like O vs 0, and uppercase and lowercase, l (that's a lowercase L) and I (that's a uppercase i) but they look the same!

Where did you get the password from - someone told you, it was written down, it's from the wireless network you setup on the router?

The password works fine as i said even if i put something like 12345678 the wrong password its doing the same thing

Reset the router to factory settings, then see if the computer connects without a password. Also another Avenue to test is enable the hotspot on your phone and see if the computer can connect to that, also a usb wireless dongle could be tested on the computer as well.

İts not about the router it doesnt connect to any wireless router i even tried on my neighbours wifi and some wifi that i dont even know password of the issue is same

Make and model of laptop, also can you transfer this and run it on the computer.

Transfer or download via ethernet.

Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop.
Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator.
When the program opens check mark Select All Then hit GO
Please post the log in your next reply. Attach or copy and paste, whatever is easier for you.

Download and unzip farbar service scanner to your desktop, right click and run as admin...check all boxes and hit scan.
Post the log created.

Heres a video of the issue aswell

Looks like the HDD is on it's way out, let's test to see. If the HDD is on it's way out, then our efforts here are futile. Depending on what these test render, will steer the direction of this thread.

Hd Tune scan.

Download HD Tune and save the file.
Install HD Tune and restart it after installation.
Then go to the tab Error Scan , select the hard drive you want to check and press Start .
The check can be quite time consuming take depends on the size of the hard drive check.
Take a screen shot of the result and save it.
Upload the image here.

Do Not tick the quick scan!!

Crystal Disk

Download and run CrystalDisk info standard edition from here
Run the program as admin, grab any screenshots and attach to your next reply for us.

It appears to be on the way out.

ALSO it see,s that many people have this same issue with the Realtek RTL8723AE Wireless LAN 802.11n

Seems that it is outdated and not able to connect to modern routers.. Can you connect via ethernet and use this tool to see if there is an update? I usually do not suggest these types of tools, but worth a shot in your case.

I suggest only trying to find an update for the wireless driver only.!!

Also, create a restore point prior to the update/

The restore points doesnt work for some reason it gives a dll error i dont have. A ethernet cable tho but i try doing something

İ got the drivermax-dump.dat but i dont have a second PC so i cannot use it

İ managed to connect to the internet with the USB cable but the issue still remains i will try to update the drivers

Your HDD is definitely on its way out...

You can get online via Ethernet, so this is definitely an issue with the wireless card itself.

Create a new user, test that.

Get yourself a wireless usb dongle, test that.
