Solved Can i still buy a desktop comp that isnt WIFI?

now it comes up with 3 things about HP using my info for various reasons. the 3 boxes are check marked but i can click away the check mark and make the boxes empty
 
ok, now it says type here to search. it has some icons and in the upper right it saysrecyle bin and under that microsoft edge
 
I guess now i put in the ehternet? Is the type here to search where i put in the pchelpforum address or do i need to hit edge
 
sorry, servers ip address can not be found. i typed in several sites and nothing
 
Yes, but i can try again if you want. The first time i unplugged th modem and stuck that in by mistake then i plugged it in right, but i can retry
 
I dont understand why my old comp connects but this one wont. It cant be the cable since it works in the old comp, . It plugs in right next to the mouse and keyboard plug in right?

Yes only one place it can go
You may have to
Unplug from old computer
plug into new computer
reboot new computer
Test internet.

If no good
Shutdown computer
Unplug power to modem
Wait 30 sec
Turn modem back on
When light on modem shows internet - go green
Can take 5 mins
Start pc after it is connected
Test
