A lot of repairs were made there so lets hope that they have done the job, did you check the logs at all, McAfee has caused you a whole load of grief.

Tip
If using a computer and not a mobile phone, please avoid adding multiple posts while waiting for us to reply to your last, edit your last post to include anything that you wish to add, this will ensure nothing gets overlooked which can sometimes happen if a thread has more than one page, it avoids filling up folks inbox

Ok, great thankyou. I guess ill report back next saturday, if it goes a week without a BSOD then it was probably successful, if not then you'll hear back from me.

Thanks for all your help up to this point!

it was good until i think friday when i got a BSOD, and not long after my screen went black and made a constant very loud screeching noise, this didnt lead into a BSOD i had to force shut down my computer (holding power button until it turned off) and then turned it back on again like nothing happened.

Only 2 issues for a week which i can say is an improvement but it obviously isn't fixed yet.

Can we have the latest crash dmp and a new MTB log.

Black screen and screeching is typical overheating behaviour, what was the computer being used for when this happened and how long had the computer been in such use for when this latest issue happened, something to keep in mind for the future, it would save us both time if you post the information that has been requested above when you first post back rather than us having to ask for it.

The computer is only ever used for internet browsing, i was watching a youtube video at the exact time of the crash, i for a few hours before it happened, i generally use it no more than 5 hours continuously and sometimes for just 5 minutes.

I will post the crash dmp/new MTB logs from now on when this happens, i have some time later today and will have them to you tonight.

So sorry something came up, theres no way i can do this until the weekend, even then things could change, it might be best to just postpone this until after i finish this job which SHOULD be the 3rd of august but it could get extended. I did a quick check and again theres still no new dmp's in the C: drive.

I will update you on the 3rd if thats ok, by then i expect multiple more crashes which could give more details to help you diagnose it.

No problem & thanks for letting us know (y)

To avoid you being asked for an update every couple of days we will close the thread until you have the time available to work towards resolving the issue, PM a member of staff when you are ready and the thread can be reopened.
