Ok, now we can clean the graphics driver:

Ok, let's do it this way. This will prevent windows update from installing drivers.

  • Open Notepad.
  • Copy the code below, do not copy the word code.
  • Paste into open notepad.
  • Save to desktop as 456.reg
  • Right click 456.reg and select merge.
  • Reboot the computer for changes to take effect.
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
"ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching]
"SearchOrderConfig"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UpdatePolicy\PolicyState]
"ExcludeWUDrivers"=dword:00000001

Download DDU
Install, then boot into safe mode.
Run DDU and then remove your graphics driver only.
Boot back to normal mode, then install the graphics driver for your machine.
Optionally, go to the support site.
Get the latest driver for graphics card.
Install, then reboot.

Hd Tune scan.

Download HD Tune and save the file.
Install HD Tune and restart it after installation.
Then go to the tab Error Scan , select the hard drive you want to check and press Start .
The check can be quite time consuming take depends on the size of the hard drive check.
Take a screen shot of the result and save it.
Upload the image here.

Do Not tick the quick scan!!

Crystal Disk

Download and run CrystalDisk info standard edition from here
Run the program as admin, grab any screenshots and attach to your next reply for us.

You will still need to open the machine, if there are screws missing and loud sounds coming from the machine...

Make sure you keep all screws in a coffee cup or something.

Something changes last few days - from time to time the screen do not get back but I can move cursor and nothing works - and again, the only solution is to press the power button.

For now go thru the steps, and clean your display driver, then test the SSD/HDD for issues, then its time to open and clean/reseat the components. That is what is left on the table.

No, you can create a restore point. But we have completed many over this issue .

Cleaning your graphic driver and testing the hdd for errors, have never deleted any data as far as I know.

Also, be careful when you are inside the laptop, make sure and unplug and then remove the battery, then hold the power button down for 30 seconds before opening the case.

My notebook have no battery. There is no possibilty to remove it. Maybe you just could get some instructions what to do or check after oppening it and I'll ask people in the service to do it?

You should maybe just have the service people do the job, if you do not feel comfortable. But you definitely need to see what’s going on inside from everything you described.

What is the model number of your machine?

How about testing the hard drive? And cleaning the graphics card driver

To be honest, I am a bit afraid to reinstall the graphic card driver - I don't know what to expect and I am afraid that I'll do something wrong.

Ok. You could test the hdd for errors, and if you are not confident enough to open the machine, I would suggest taking it somewhere. But do not take it to the same place, they do not seem very competent.

Tell them exactly what is going on. You are hearing loud sounds coming from inside. The last place you took it to left multiple screws out ...

Or maybe weigh your options, is it cheaper to just get a new machine vs taking it in to be repaired. 🤷‍♂️

I have 3 notebooks. I just need this one to be repaired. It is not because I can't have a new one, I just want it working.

I will inform if the problem was solved when I'll get my notebook back from the service, but I'll try to do the hard drive testing tomorrow - and anything else if it will still be neccessairy.
