It has a box that says Bitblocker cant fully open or something like that and then above that it has a box that say Press Y to fully open TPM and press N to partially open. When i press Y it then opens and works. It all started right after i did an update a few days ago. Thanks.

First up, what is the PC used for?
Or more importantly, what are the chances it will be lost/stolen and its hard drive removed and data tried to be copied off it?

BitLocker is only relevant if you think your machine will ever fall into someone else's hands and the drive removed to get access to your data.
The encryption key for BitLocker lives in the PC, so if it is stolen and has no password, or the thieves know or get past the password, they'll have full access anyway, rendering BitLocker useless.

For me, if trying to recover data from clients drives, BitLocker is an absolute disaster. All the stored data is scrambled without the keys.
My need to recover data is far more likely to happen than a PC getting stolen.

I turn off BitLocker on any machine I touch.
My method, start Powershell ISE as admin and enter the follow two commands;
Clear-BitLockerAutoUnlock
Get-BitLockerVolume | Disable-BitLocker

I am not worried at all about my comp being stolen. What is powershell ISE and where do i find it? If i turn it off the comp will start correctly? Thanks

I found this screen

Would the update i did cause it? Right after i did the last update and selected update and restart is when the bitblocker thing started.

Click the Start button, literally start typing powershell and you'll see under Apps Windows PowerShell ISE, click its arrow on the right, under Open expand the options and you'll see Run as Admin.

Do i need to hit enter or anything? When i hit enter after it did that it stayed the same.

You are correct, looking at the screen shot it does indeed tell you it is already off.
You should be fine to reboot.
Let's face it, you can't leave the PC on indefinitely. (y)

By the way, when you started PowerShell ISE you didn't select to start it as an Admin, so both those commands failed, hence the red text everywhere and the "Access Denied" error message at the first line after each command.

I just did a restart and it came back on just fine. Should i try the powershell again or leave it alone? Thanks for the help. I dont see run as admin anywhere. I will leave as is unless you advise otherwise.

Golden Rule - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. :)

I personally would run those commands, if only to make sure BitLocker was turned off on all my drives, not just the boot volume drive.
But that is completely up to you.
If you do feel the need, click Start, type in Powershell ISE, in the right hand side, under where you see Open, there should be a down arrow, click that and you should see Run as Administrator.

Thanks, the comp opened fine this AM. When i type in PowerShell ISE it opens automatically. I dont see OPEN or a down arrow. OK, i right clicked on powershell and it has run as admin.
