So I’ve had this issue for awhile and I think I know the culprit(s). I have a 2080 ti from asus it’s the rog strix edition. Paired with a 8700k and 64gb of ddr4 ram oc at 3200.

My issue is I get bad frame rate drops in 1080p and 1440p so it’s not a gpu render issue I took these screen shots (ark on high) as a base to go by. I get fps drops in rocket league and other high and low demanding games. I am on a Samsung eco 890 ssd (think it’s that model) there are no hdds in my system I was thinking about getting a 4090 or 4080 (for starfeild) as my gpu is suffering on old games I do t want the headache on a new game

Any thoughts or fixes would be greatly appreciated

So other can assist let get a speccy report.

Do not forget to post the make and model of the PSU if this is a desktop.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
 
Two things I see off the bat other may have more to state.

File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: B8A1C17E
Size: 465 GB
Used Space: 399 GB (85%)
Free Space: 65 GB (15%)

First issue is because Windows requires on average 30% to 35% free space including 32 GB free space for updates, 7-10 GB reserved for future proofing on the C drive.

This is not including and limited to what the system uses for backups, swap page and hibernate files.

Turn off XMP you have the RAM speed outside of what they CPU can handle.
