gus,
I have tried them all but I don't have the technical knowledge to choose one over the other.

gus/plodr/Evan omo/veeg - any preferences please??

Ok,like it has been said Win 7 has a pretty decent defragger..

Here is a list of the best with reviews. https://www.lifewire.com/free-defrag-software-tools-2619172

I have heard of people using and they were pleased.....
Defraggler
Smart Defrag
Tool wiz Smart Defrag
WinUtilities DiskDefrag

Like everything else,i would make sure they haven't put in ad's like Auslogics.. Which is a shame it used to be pretty decent.

You'd be surprised at how little the hd needs defragging. The inbuilt works fine and is set to defrag once a week on a schedule. I've been using it for 3 years and my desktop computer is used daily.

Hi Guys,
I'll settle for either Win7 or Defraggler.

Sincere thanks for all your assistance.
Can you please mark as solved?
