For some reason, about a couple hours ago today the audio from my Headphones (sony ch710n, connected by wire to logitech USB adapter) has been slightly degraded. I encountered this problem a couple months ago as well, which was solved when I reinstalled Windows. Is there any other way to fix it? The best way I can describe the sound quality is that it sounds "flatter", and I can't hear some elements of the music I'm listening to.
 
Does it make a difference how you listen? Does Groove Music perform differently from your browser, Windows Media Player, or 3rd party programs? (iTunes/Spotify)

Have you tried running them through Bluetooth?

Try turning the noise-cancelling off if possible, does that make a difference?

Is there a reason you're connecting to an adapter? These can degrade audio performance, what happens if you plug directly into the computer, (there is a green audio port on the back of most desktops and the side adapter should work fine for any laptops).
 
My noise cancelling has never been on, and I can tell the degraded audio quality is somewhat universal throughout apps. I tried the green port but my audio sounds like absolute garbage from it (I have no idea why, possibly linked to the same issue?)
