how do i get my computer to boot?
its a new build with win 10 on a ssd

windows was installed progs added and a system bu done on easeus
now when i do a system restore i get error 0xc000000e

from command promp ive
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot
bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd

ive activated via diskpart

if i do and image check with easeus...it reports image ok no files lost ( via the recovery disk )
the ssd is a kingston 240g and shows up no prob in the bios ( uefi )
any relevant suggestions would be gratefully appreciated

first things first, let's keep it simple to start with and forget the EaseUS issues for now.
can you at least reinstall Win10 on the SSD and have the PC boot normally?
get that done first, then see about restoring the backup image.

the 'easues' doesnt have an issue . . ive been using it for several years now
win 10 will reinstall on the ssd with no probs
it seems when there is a reboot the bios gets 'confused'
the only problems start when the computer is rebooted ( but not always )
all suggested attempts to recover the drive via the normal procedures dont work
can the mobo be faulty ?

ps . . i am installing onto a sata hd to see how the mobo handles bog standard hardware
 
have you flashed the BIOS with the latest firmware offering from the mobo manufacturer?
or even if no newer version, just reflashing to try and fix a potentially corrupted BIOS firmware.

let us know how the HDD install goes and if the issue persists, as the problem could be motherboard or drive related.

i have installed the o/s on a HDD
When i reboot giving it priority it can find the o/s ?

never reflashed the bios ?
 
Do you have both drives (with Windows installation) connected when booting? If yes then this may be the problem.
Try booting the pc with just the new drive connected.
If you clean install Windows on the new drive does it boot? You can then restore the image & see if the problem remains Or is fixed.

I have reinstalled on a 240g ssd . . which boots everytime

i have removed all hard drives except the last one i last loaded windows on
it shows up in EUFI but going past the bios i'm being told to there is no O/S
I've updated the bios with the latest version
the eufi is set to defaults except the ssd has got priority on boot
it booted ok till i removed all the other drives??
ps im starting from scratch again with just 1 ssd then adding 1 drive at a time to see what happens:mad:

it seems this mother board wont read restored operating systems
it will load the original no prob over and over
but once a system restore is performed ( via easeus ) to the same hdd it cant find it
( even the newly installed win10 )
i work in a professional studio and need this feature for quick recovery . .I have used it for many years on many
computers but this mobo doesn't want to know
 
Can you clarify: You state the SSD boots every time, is this after you’ve cloned the original drive & restored it to this drive or something else?
Replace the original drive & try cloning with Macrium Reflect free: https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree
Cloning can be problematic so I would create their boot media, image the old drive, replace the original drive with the new one, then use the boot media to boot to their recovery console then restore the image to the new drive.

Please note that system restore refers to a Windows feature not an image restore via EaseUs. To which are you referring?

all the images i created ( step by step system build ) are in easus format ( pbd ) 00-06
so how do i clone say bu06 if i cant install it back on to the computer
 
Did you create a clone of the original drive onto the new drive or create an image & are now trying to restore the image? When you create a clone both drives are usually connected to the pc at the same time.
You don’t restore a clone.

this is an error message using MACRIUM
it wont install the saved image

Have you tried the suggestion to insert the installation media & repaired Windows?
Do you have the original hard drive which contains a working Windows installation?
Does the image contain all 4 (or 5) partitions required or did you just backup Windows/C partition.

the original hard drive works normal when the o/s is installed
EASEUS : if i replace the o/s with a previous image then when it boots it says theres no o/s installed
or cant be found . . I have to reinstall window

MACRIUM : if i try to replace the o/s with a previous image i get the message in the photo
but at least it boots back into windows unaltered

ps the photo is legible if double clicked
 
What I was hoping you’d do is return the original hard drive to the pc, image this with Macrium then restore this Macrium image to the new pc. If you’re doing this & still receive the message then the SSD is faulty imo.

it also behaves like this using a HDD . . .
 
Then the clone/image wasn’t created with all the partitions included. How many partitions show on the backup?
Is Windows installed as UEFI or MBR? If UEFI & you clean installed 20H2 there should be 4 partitions, if you’ve upgraded Windows over the years there’s usually 5 partitions.

it wont let the MACRIUM pe write to the ssd . .thats why it boots back into the original o/s
whereas EASEUS installs the new image . . then the o/s cant be found
this is the only motherboard thats eve done this
its a msi 310M PRO-VDH plus with an i7 and 16g ram
