Solved USB stick is not showing up

Thanks, what that unfortunately means is that the data is corrupt or the drive broken.

How many GB is the stick and how much free storage space was on it, what has happened to you can be caused by the storage device being full and the data on the drive starts to get overwritten.

Plenty of free space on it then.

We have one more option to try, after that it is paying a data recovery service or tossing the drive in the trash.

Do you have a couple more empty USB flash drives, one must be at least 16GB but the other one can be 1GB or above.

If there was between 5 and 9GB free on the drive that has gone bad you should be ok to use what you have.

Try booting from Linux on USB to see if that can detect any of the data on the bad flash drive, if it does, you can transfer the data over to your other spare USB thumbdrive.
