I was taking out the gpu and (stupidly) forgot to take out the wires from the back of the pc in my gpu, not realising this I tried to take the gpu out with it not budgingand causing damage. The gpu is working fine in another slot but the one i was using is dead, is this repairable?

Hello

Giving the time to replace that slot or a new mobo it may not be the worth of time or money, Since you have a workable slot i would consider yourself lucky.

Have you tried a M 2 to PCI riser? The slot may be dead, but you have options.

You could also upload pictures of the damaged area, and perhaps someone else here could tell if it is repairable.

Hey, I've fixed the slot now but I had to change the pcie thing in bios to x8+x8, would you know why it's only working with this now?

I have no idea, but I really appreciate you adding your solution to this thread, perhaps it will help someone else in the future. Is there anything else? Or should we close this thread as solved?
