Solved RAM is causing my PC to crash!

Every so often my PC freezes up and crashes! I don't get a BSoD but my operating system just stops responding. I already replaced the memory once but that still didn't do the trick. Do I need to buy slower and older RAM? I lowered the speed to 2933 MHz and I still get crashes. Lowering the speed makes my PC crash less frequently.

Current memory kit -
G.Skill Gaming Memory Ripjaws V 32GB RAM (2X16GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL18

Your ram is well within your MOBO's capacity, if the problem still occurs with different sets I find it unlikely that it is a bad module.

It sounds like you turned XMP off already, but if not please ensure it is.

Are you able to use a monitoring program to watch your temps and usage when it freezes? This could be task manager (this does not show temps), MSI Afterburner, or NZXT CAM to name a few.

Do you see anything at 100% utilization when there is a freeze?

Do you see anything climb above 80C in terms of temperatures?

The temps seem fine but I will use NZXT CAM to see if anything strange goes on there.

When you replaced the ram, did you put the new modules in slots B2 and A2?

Has anything else changed since you've started experiencing the freezes?

Your motherboard can take the ram as Pyro pointed out in post # 6
Your CPU cannot take that ram

Yeah, I read about it last week so that's why I keep it at 3200mhz max. The only thing is even at just under 3000mhz it still freezes up!

As an update, I'm using one 16GB module at 3200mhz now. I have NZXT CAM and task manager opened on my other monitor to see if anything shows up. I will keep you updated.
