PC suddenly can't read hdd

I got on my pc this afternoon and tried installing a game on steam, but it gave me a disk write error. I simply installed it on my ssd instead and thought nothing of it. I later on tried launching another program and it told me something along the lines of "this app cannot run on your computer, check with the publisher for the right version" (computer is in swedish so I'm not 100% sure what it says in english) I tried uninstalling it to reinstall it but it tolk me there was an error in uninstalling the programm because it may already have been uninstalled. So I looked around and found I could not access anything on this drive anymore, I restarted my computer and then the drive was gone completely. I checked the diskmanagement and I can see that it's there but it's "unknown" and not initialized. When I try initielizing it it says "A device that does not exist has been specified". Can this be fized or do I need a new drive?

I will clarify that every part in the pc is fairly new and nothing was done to the pc between it working and it giving me the disk write error.

Can you see if the disk shows in the BIOS.
To Enter the BIOS when you start the computer you have to start tapping a key.
Either DEL or F1, F2,F12 ESC Most times it will show which key to press at the startup screen.
If you can't find the right key then we would need more info about your computer
e.g If brand name like Dell or HP etc Model Number and service Tag.
If a generic then at least them Motherboard Name and Model.

Please Go here Click On Me and download testdisk and see if that can see your disk.

If you cannot see the disk in BIOS or Testdisk good chance is the disk is dead.
But there might be 1 or 2 more steps to try first.

age of hard drive?

would be guessing at this stage that it has gone pear shaped.
even if it hasn't, you should be getting a replacement anyway as it has lost integrity which is the last thing you want in any drive.
