I lost the ability to restore my laptop to factory settings using F3, due to installation of windows the wrong way last time. This removed the MSI dragon centre software. I can still see the recovery partitions via disk management but when using windows recovery it goes to a system image I did after setting everything up. Tried that & all my folders have returned. is there a way to access image/factory recovery via command prompt. Can I just add a new user, then delete my user account & pass on the laptop? Or do I need to format my folders/account. It is a MSI GP62 7QF leopard Pro. I now have a new one compatible with Windows 11. Thanks for any assistance .

If I'm passing on a PC, I like to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows, and during that installation, there a windows that allows you to delete all the partitions.
So get Windows Media Creation Tool and use that to create a bootable USB stick with that latest Win11 version.
Then boot the PC with the stick in and it should detect that stick and boot from the USB port.
If not, go into BIOS and change the boot order.

Start a command prompt and type:
shutdown /r /o
This will get you to the recovery environment.
You can also press WIN+R and type the same command.
