My old PSU died it had 700W. I bought a new one, guy said that 550W will be enough for my pc but under a heavy load pc turns off. New PSU is Mars Gaming MPII 550W.
PSU has not enough cords so i left out unplugged the 4 pin that goes to the top of my case ( I suppose its for external drive on top of my case, start, restart buttons and usb. This is my first though of why PC fails.) case is CoolerMaster CoolerMaster Dominator CM 690 II Advanced, however the power on ,restart and usb on top of the case works normaly.

PC:
MSI P67A-GD55 B3
i5-2500K
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 (Small one with one fan)
Corsair DDR3 2x 4GB 16000 MHz
SATA-III 1TB Caviar Green
Optical drive Samsung DVD+/-RW

Is it PSU fault or the missing cord. Will 600W be enough?

Welcome to PCHF Wastel,

New PSU is Mars Gaming MPII 550W.
Best advice that I can give you is to return that PSU as quick as you can before it pops and hoses your whole rig, the brand is that bad that RealHardTechX state the following;

RealHardTechX advises against buying power supplies from this brand.

See info here a typical 550W PSU from Tacens could only produce 384W when tested

Got the same news from my friend already. Its nice when sellers are scammers.
I was now suggested SILENTIUMPC ATX VERO L2 500W. Will this one actually work well?

Nah quite the opposite, they make me quite mad

Sorry but got to be blunt no, it is more junk, please take a look at the PSU guidance links from my signature for brands to trust and brands to avoid, as a rule of thumb I stick with the following brands Antec, Corsair, EVGA and Seasonic and never use anything less than a Bronze efficiency rated model, see what you can find out of these brands then post the link/s so we can take a look and give you a second opinion.

Searched for some time, just want to mention that I will be probably changing a computer in a year or less just want something that works and wont melt my parts because that would be the end of me. Wasnt realy able to find everything in bronze but found some in 80+. I was already using Ocz stealthxstream 2 700w, which is 80+, for good 5 years and had 0 problem.

EVGA 500 W1
OCZ ZS 550W
CoolerMaster Masterwatt Lite 500W

Antec VPF 550W, only if other 3 are bad since this one is above my budget.

OCZ is just 80+ not bronze. So is EVGA and CM, only Antec is Bronze.
Well I found them on Polish "ebay" like site so you wont be able to decipher anything. These are my only options that I currently have. They are from random shops that probably want to get rid of leftovers (all brand new not used) thats why they are a little cheaper than in branded shops, well if anything goes wrong with them I have 14 days return time so I'm not worried.

You say go for it? Will 550W be enough for my setup?
When new the PSU had enough power output and amps on the +12V rail which is equally as important, but is it new, the same for the other ones you mentioned.

Got an early start tomorrow so will be going offline shortly but will check back tomorrow evening

I went to the shop where I bought this PSU guy told me that there should be no problem so I went with my pc there and under heavy load nothing happend it run smoothly. Turns out that this PSU also has Cert 85+ bronze. I will monitor my pc to see where the fault lies if anything I managed to buy Corsair VS 550W and can return it in 14 days. Additionaly someone told me that it might be my PSU cable going nuts I will get one tomorrow.

Just some more info:

Does the problem occur when a device at home starts operating?

Could be an oven, a refrigerator, a heater, an air-conditioning, a boiler.... ... you name it.
There may be a voltage drop (power fluctuation) so try a different outlet.

Dont really understand, sorry. If you mean on idle browsing through the internet then no it works fine. The PC turned off and on when I was playing The Crew and talking with my friend on skype

When it comes to the outlet im using the same socket boards and outlet that I used with old PSU so I doubt its faulty, however I will also change it to be sure.

Update:
Turns out that there is high probability of electrical warfare, PC vs Microwave and thats what causes all the mess. No one knows yet if PC is the culprit or Microwave. It went from just PC truning off to full on sparkles in Microwave and light flicerking in the house.

Anyway thanks for all the help topic is closed from that point.

You may find that the place that sold you the junk PSU owe you a new microwave oven as well :(

Thanks for the follow up btw (y)

New information and still need small help.
So turns out that yeah this Tacens is crap it still shuts down but very rarely when under heavy load, like it missing just this few more watts. Shame.
When it comes to the whole electrical warefare thing there was a big deal with the fuses in the house one was completly charred now its replaced and everything should be fine.

No more carppy PSU, I was thinking about buying EVGA 600B, little more juice just in case and Bronze 80+ cert.

I know Im bothersome with this all but I have a new question before I go out and buy new PSU for 70$ or so.
Is there a chance that the whole problem isint actually a PSU but something else in the pc (CPU, GPU?). It did turn off while browsing the internet but it was probably because of the whole fuses problem. Now fixed and after a day it didnt turn off while browsing. Only under heavy load (gaming) and after longer period of time (1-2h) PC shuts down, like pulling the plug out. Temps of CPU and GPU are normal, under load dont exceed 70C. Just for a test Ive start the same game and turned down all graphic settings to minimum and there was no problem yet. Ive also changed cables and power outlets.

Pardon my two cents, but it might be worthwhile to download Speccy (free) - piriform.com and look at the temps under load. 70C is pretty warm. If your machine shuts down after 1-2hrs of heavy usage, it sounds like inadequate cooling.

Im using openhardwaremonitor for that purpose, GPU never exceeded 65C ang CPU was max 67C on on core all under very heavy load after long time. During the summer on my old PSU temps on CPU were reaching above 70C at times but nothing happend back then even after very long use.
