My old PSU died it had 700W. I bought a new one, guy said that 550W will be enough for my pc but under a heavy load pc turns off. New PSU is Mars Gaming MPII 550W.
PSU has not enough cords so i left out unplugged the 4 pin that goes to the top of my case ( I suppose its for external drive on top of my case, start, restart buttons and usb. This is my first though of why PC fails.) case is CoolerMaster CoolerMaster Dominator CM 690 II Advanced, however the power on ,restart and usb on top of the case works normaly.
PC:
MSI P67A-GD55 B3
i5-2500K
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 (Small one with one fan)
Corsair DDR3 2x 4GB 16000 MHz
SATA-III 1TB Caviar Green
Optical drive Samsung DVD+/-RW
Is it PSU fault or the missing cord. Will 600W be enough?
