Hello,
both of my Monitors are showing some weird, mostly green or blue lines from top to bottem.
They both have those line towards to centre of the setup, so the one on the left has them on its right half, and the monitor on the right has them mostly on the left side.
I don't know what this is or why it's there, but considering I just purchased a brand new PC to replace my 3-4 year old "cheap" pre-built one (Got the Monitors at the same time), i thought maybe it would be best to just replace the monitors as well before I end up using my brand new computer with some horrible graphics and weird lines all over my monitors.

The Monitors and some of it's details are:
ASUS VG248QG 24 Inch Full-HD Gaming Monitor (0,5 ms reaction speed, 165 Hz)
1.920 x 1.080 Pixel, 16:9, FreeSync & G-SYNC

I tried taking a picture of it as it is not seen on a screenshot.

If it can't be fixed, could you suggest me some good new Monitors that would go well to a ryzen 7 7800x3d + RTX 4080 Super please?

What ports are available on the RTX4080?
And what options are on the monitors?
Have you tried just one monitor, and changing ports, and changing cables?

Yes I tried switching cables, ports etc.
Currently I am using the monitors on my RTX3070, but it probably won't change once my 4080 is here so that's why I was asking.

On the 3070 there are 3 Display ports and 1 HDMI.

For the monitors, there's many things I can change, they got buttons on the back and and a bunch of settings but I can't find anything there that fixes it.

I just tried connecting my Playstation to the monitors, the Lines are still visible.
Also, I connected my TV using HDMI to the GPU, as well as the Monitor via HDMI to the GPU, and the lines are always there, on the TV there are no lines tho.
It looks like the monitors are both "broken", is there a possible fix for it or can you recommend me some good new monitors please?

For both monitors to show the same issue, one one the left and one on the right is weird.

Did you try just one monitor at time?
Do the lines appear when using the RTX3070?

On the back of the monitors, there will be a sticker, there you'll find the manufacturing date - how old are they?

I tried:
One Monitor (Had Lines)
Switched cables (Had Lines)
Used new cables (Had Lines)
Used HDMI to connect the Monitor to the GPU (Had Lines)
Switched display ports (Had Lines)
Connected my TV to the GPU using HDMI (Had NO Lines)
Connected my PS4 to both Monitors (Had Lines)

The Monitors were purchased 29th of March 2021 and on the Sticker it says December 2020

And yes the lines appear on the RTX3070, the 4080 Super will arrive next week with my new rig

That's pretty conclusive - it's the monitors.
As to a replacement brand, I go for one with more than one year warranty. Samsung for example tend to do 3 year warranties.

This would be an ideal time to think about your screen size, is 24" still good enough for your needs?
What about curved, or instead of two 24's, what about one big 32"?
Do you need height adjustment, inbuilt sound, onboard USB ports, heck, even a hook to hang your headset on?

My current ones are 24" but I'm not really happy about it... another user on the internet recommended me a 27" Monitor with 1440p for 180-240€.
I dont need inbuilt sound, just DP and HDMI ports.

Considering the monitors are still functioning besides those strange lines, what would you say about putting them on a wall mount and putting 2 new/better monitors below them for basically a 2x2 monitor build? Is that overkill? I could use some more space when working on something sometimes.
Curved I'd rather not want.

I can't recommend any one monitor over another, too subjective.
It's something you have to use daily, so it should be you to choose.
We can lead you down the right path, but the final destination is for you to decide. 🙂
As said, going for brands with more than one year warranty tends to indicate they are happy to stand behind the product they sell.

Yes, I bought 2 Monitors with 27", 180Hz, 1440p, 1ms and 3 years warranty.

Thanks for helping 🙂
