Yes it just seems to be these two software packages. I'll try adding an Admin account tonight, I tried this morning but it seems to be much more complex than it was on previous windows. I go to user accounts> manage another account>add a new user> then when I go to add an account to my local machine it starts asking for a new email or to input a new one. Does this sound right? If so I'll do it tonight.

Uninstalling, restarting and reinstalling didn't fix the issue. I was able to set up a new admin account but not sure how to switch, on previous windows you got the option when logging off or restarting but I couldn't find the option with windows 10.

Rebooted a few times and there is no screen to choose which admin account to use. Tried uninstalling with geek and reinstalling again, reboot again, just doesn't work. Only tried with the video converter I use (not malware bytes yet)

I tried installing Malwarebytes and get this. I did unistall it with geek but it seems to still be seeing files?

Here is my report as attached.

p.s I shut down my pc and went to bed. This morning I get up and notice the pc is still on as it asked if I wanted to save a photoshop file. So I just left it on but it had clearly shut other programs/apps. Anyway, when I tried to open video converter it worked. It's like a program or something is usually blocking it. Need to try a restart and try again but am off to work now so will try tonight.

Clean up temp files and reduce startup load with CCleaner.


Note: This tool will clean your browsing history as well.
  • Download CCleaner from here.
  • After install Click Options.
  • Go to monitoring.
  • Uncheck All Monitoring items.
  • Go to advanced -- Click close program after cleaning.
  • Go to settings -- click run ccleaner when the computer starts.
  • Now that you have ccleaner installed and set-up:
  • Open the program.
  • Go to Tools
  • Go to Startup
  • Now double click each item. To Disable.
  • Leave only your antivirus enabled.
  • Then disable All items in your scheduled task as well.
  • Unless they are related to windows defender.Or your antivirus.
  • Reboot the machine.

Rogue Killer Scan.

Download RogueKiller -- (Portable) -- from one of the following links and save it to your Desktop:

  • Close all other the running programs
  • Disable ALL Antivirus -- Antimalware -- Applications.
  • Right Click Rogue Killer and Run as Administrator.
  • Click the Start Scan button.
  • Allow the scan to run -- it can take ten minutes or more.
  • Once the scan is complete check All items for removal.

  • After All items are checked then press Remove Selected.
  • Wait until the Status box shows Deleting Finished.
  • Click on open report -- then open txt
  • Copy the content of the report and paste it here in your next reply.
JRT Scan.


Please download Junkware Removal Tool and save it on your desktop.


  • Shut down your anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click it and select Run as administrator.
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Please post the JRT log.
Adware Cleaner Scan.

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Scan button.
  • When the scan has finished click on Clean button.
  • Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

I recently purchased a new video editor, as cleaning/repairing the PC wasn't working. That was before your latest post where it's just downloading and running 5 different cleaning tools seems risky, I've used such tools in the past and they can delete vital system files. So I've been debating if it's worth trying now that I have software replacing the one that no longer works on my machine. Could just be a matter of time until the new editor stops working so perhaps I should go ahead with it. Instead of doing all in one go I may try it one software at a time, creating restore points before every one.

Thanks. I ran ZHPFix and have attached a report. For some reason it caused my google chrome to no longer exist and had to reinstall it (n)

Your google chrome was infected with adware, how about your other issue can you now install malwarebytes and how is the other program working?

If you would create a restore point and run the other tools if you are still having issues, there is some lingering malware adware on your machine that needs cleaning.

Used CCleaner, enabled those settings and restarted my machine. Didn't notice the machine doing anything different (I guess I was expecting to see a progress bar via CCleaner or something). Tried running Malware and Video editor, not working yet. Will try RogueKiller next time.
