Upon rebooting, my laptop can enter a state where the NIC, the sound card, and external USB drives are no longer functioning, as if they've been removed. All these devices appear in device manager with no errors.
If I reboot up to several times, it will enter its normal state eventually. But it will not restore from sleep mode if I close the laptop and will require a hard reset. Then it is a gamble of if the device will boot properly or not. If it does not, there will be a warning sign next to Intel(R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Processor Participant in device manager.
The drivers are all up to date, the laptop is relatively new (IOTA flo 4, 3 months), the OS is Win11, I have tried Windows reset twice, no luck. I have tried all typical advice like drivers, windows troubleshooting, resetting, system file checker etc.
Do you think this a temperature issue to the PCB? This has only started beginning since the weather got cold; I don't have much space for it and leave it by a window. Even when insulated, it's hit and miss, but there is a better chance.
