Hey, it’s me again, this time I need some help. I bought a new motherboard to replace the old one in my hp envy, and so far, the process has been smooth, but when trying to get everything reconnected to this new gigabyte motherboard, its this pin I don’t know what matches, here are some pictures. I’m talking about the mini led from the stock motherboard. I can’t find it on this new gigabyte one. Please let me know if pictures are not efficient I will post more.

The two MBs are completely different so will not have all the same type of connections, if the computer is working as it should be you only need to tuck any unused cables away securely so that they cannot get tangled up in any fan/s or get melted by a hot component such as the chipset.

I understand that. What I am asking is that since that the other had a mini led pin, is there anything I can do for the current one to match it up, or just leave it alone? All the major components match up pretty okay it seems

As previously mentioned the two MBs are completely different so will not have all the same type of connections and likewise the HP Envy case will have things that will connect to the stock MB but not the third party Gigabyte MB.

Short version, connecting something that is HP specific to any third party MB could result in the board shorting out.

okay! that is some clarification that I needed! I appreciate you taking the time out to explain that before I messed something up! I just wanted to make sure I was not forgetting anything! Thank you so much.

You are welcome and fwiw PC cases will often have connectors that will only be used with an AMD board and likewise same thing for an Intel board, they don`t tend to have any instructions in the user manual for what the connectors are for either.
