Hello all,
Loving this site for my PC issues.
Searched on this, but didn't find a direct answer to my issue. A lot of original posters don't follow up on their posts .
Here's the issue:
I have a WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD that shows up in the BIOS and device manager on any of my four PC's, but it will not show up in any Disk Manager or in Diskpart.
My Four PC's:
Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2PV(R2.0) Intel Pentium G630 (Windows 10 Pro)
HP 6005 Pro SFF AMD Phenom X4 B95 (Windows 10 Pro)
ASRock 970M Pro3 AMD FX-6300 (Windows 10 Pro)
Mac Book Pro 2nd gen Intel Core i7 (Windows 8.1 Pro Boot camp.) Only used the caddy on this one.
My Goal:
Have a working drive - I don't care about the data on the drive.
What I have tried:
Uninstalling in device manager.
Searching for updated drivers.
Using a USB 3.0 compatible caddy that has it's own power supply to attach to the computer. (Exact same results) The PC's pick up the caddy, and the drive shows up in Device manager, but not in Disk Manager or Diskpart
Any suggestions?
