From what I found on the internet, these errors seem to be attached to controllers on pc but I'm using keyboard and mouse only.
Since yesterday, I whenever I try to play FIFA 21, the game glitches on the kit selection screen and an error () pops up crashing the game. If I manage to get past the kit selection screen, it gives me another but similar error (). I tried playing RDR2 and there's just black screen after loading is complete and I can only hear the audio (birds, etc) but no display and when I touch the movement keys, the game crashes with this error (). Similarly, Forza Horizon 5 crashes while loading (without any error dialog).

Things I tried:
  1. Changed the dx_select from 0 to 1 using notepad in Documents > FIFA 21 > fifasetup.ini
  2. Disabled full screen optimizations of FIFA.exe from properties
  3. Made sure I had latest drivers in GeForce Experience
  4. Physically removed and re-inserted the graphics card
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

PC specs:
i5 9400F | Gigabyte 1660 Ti OC | Corsair 2x8 GB running @ 2667Mhz | MSI B365M ProVDH

Hello

Give us your psu spec's.. Have you tried clocking your memory up to 3200?
Thank you for replying. The PSU is Cooler Master Bronze MWE 550 80 plus. Also, my motherboard only supports 2666Mhz. I only have XMP enabled.

The brackets () in my original query included links to pictures of the errors which were removed for security reasons. Here are those pictures in correct order marked 1,2 and 3 respectively.

Ok you can try these possible fixes..

And quote:

  1. Restart display driver
  2. Run DirectX Diagnostic Tool (DxDiag)
  3. Install DirectX from within the Game’s root folder
  4. Update graphics driver
  5. Clean install NVIDIA graphics driver
  6. Modify GstRender settings
  7. Disable Variable Refresh Rate and Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling
  8. Disable overclocking
  9. Troubleshoot in Clean Boot state
  10. Uninstall and Reinstall the game

Thank you. I'll update as soon as I complete all of the above.

Is this something that has been going on since?

Has this ever worked without the issue?
When what changed?

Use the Display Driver Uninstaller DDU before reinstalling the drivers (if you go that route).

Where are you getting the drivers from and let get more information about your system.

Do not forget to post the make and model of the PSU if this is a desktop.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
