Dual monitor 1 HDMI port

Hey,

Currently my PC is linked to it's monitor with an HDMI to HDMI port, I'm looking forward to install a second monitor very soon. What exactly do I need? Would an HDMi splitter be enough to link both of my monitor at the same time, without them displaying the exact same screen? I have no VGA port on my desktop, which makes it a little bit more complicated. My last option is working with the HDMI port to get 2 monitors, how would that work?

does the PC have any other video ports apart from the one, mentioned, HDMI output?
if not, best way forward would be to get a cheap graphics card installed, doesn't need to be anything powerful unless you also want it for gaming.
look for something that will have the ports needed for both your monitors.

It has two ports I can't really recognize. Don't seem to be an HDMI output.

either attach a pic of the back of the PC or give us the make/model and we can look it up.
it'll have either of the following; HDMI (you know what they look like), a DisplayPort which is almost identical to a HDMI, a VGA (analogue, D-shaped, usually blue) and a DVI (digital, D-shaped, usually white)

Here is it, I'm very satisfied with my graphic card currently, is there any way I can split my HDMI to a dual monitor without necessarily changing my graphic card?

so those other two ports are DisplayPort.
if you second monitor has one of those, get a DP cable.
if it only has a HDMI into in the back of it, get a cable that has a DP plug on one end and a HDMI plug on the other.
or get a DP to HDMI adapter.

Thanks! And by plugging it from DP to HDMI, it will display a second screen? Like, I'll be able to set it up in settings & all?

sure will, I do it on almost every PC at work.
over the years, we have acquired many PC's with many monitors.
setting as dual screens required a combo of cables, adapters and card changes.
you'll be able to setup Windows to Extend the monitors so each act independently of each other, this is for wxample, one screen can show Word, and the other Excel, and so forth.
