So I bought a ssd 500gb and I copied my hhd to my ssd. My hhd only hade 300gb on it out of 1tb so I copied it using a coping software called EaseUs. So I tried to boot of the ssd alone and it wont boot I even went into the bios and changed it to 1st boot changed it on the order and everything I watched tons of videos on how to boot it properly did all of that still wont boot off ssd.and then I went ito disk management and checked the drive and it has the same partions and same data as the hhd but drive C witch was the original os boot drive I have copied on the ssd as drive A and all of the other stuff is drive B on ssd and drive D on hhd it says that drive C which is the os is the only boot drive and drive A is not. so makes since so I went to the bios and changed everything to what it was originally I disabled the ssd on the bios boot changed it back to boot from the hhd and it would not boot it will only boot if the ssd is on the 2nd order and the hhd is on the 1st order they need each other to boot and neither of them will boot by itself so I don't know what to do I am out of ideas I am up to try anything and will ask any question you need to help me. Please help

Hi @Greenkorb and welcome to PCHF :)

With cloning, the golden rule of thumb is to make sure both drives are the same capacity. Bigger or smaller drives will cause issues like you are experiencing.

When you go into Disk Management, what does it say? Can you see all drives?

Do you have this is a RAID configuration? Unfortunately what might've happen will require re-install of the OS to fix.
Well when i copied it i didnt put them in RAID and it only uses one when i read or write any program and it doesnt say it is but i do not mind reinstalling the os and starting from scratch theres not much on it i care about just games thats it i just dont know how to whip and reinstall windows
