computer runs but monitor is blank

no idea how old the monitor is, it only has vga

Not sure why but no one has asked for the brand and model name or number of the problem screen.

It may also shed some light on this if you post all of the specs of the PC that you tried the screen on and it worked.

Not all older monitors are compatible with modern hardware and those that will work often require legacy ( none plug n play display drivers ).

Best thing that you can do is take the (single) problem screen to a local tech and have it checked.

This thread is now closed and helpers freed up to help those a bit more willing to help themselves.
