Solved Can a WhatsApp backup in Google Drive be extracted without phone?

I know WhatsApp doesn't save your history on their servers, but since there is a WhatsApp backup on Google Drive I wondered if there is a way to look at that backup without having the original number and phone which created that same backup.

Please do not start any new threads while leaving any other hanging like the one here where you have been asked for an update some four days ago but as of yet you have still not replied 🙁

I have access to that Google account, but the WahtsApp backup is supposed to be encrypted and only accessible using the same phone it was backed up with in the first place, or is there another way to view/access that?

I don't see any thread hanging. I mean, the "problem" is still there but it was concluded it was a bug and recommended to report it. Should I close that thread myself?

You were asked for an update but ignored it and if that is not leaving a thread hanging I don't know what is 🤔

You can`t and that is why it important that you respond to staff when they ask for an update so that they can close the thread if/when assistance is no longer required.
