big icons and apps

After closing out a game yesterday, my icons and my applications suddenly got enlarged. I tried restarting multiple times and resize my icons, but it didn't work. I'm still looking for solutions. Does anyone know what to do? Any help is appreciated.

are we talking just the desktop icons, or the whole screen resolution?

if just desktop icons - have you right clicked on some empty desktop space, click View and select Large, Medium or Small.
